Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Harold Ramis are the "Ghostbusters," amateur parapsychologists who become spirit catchers-for-hire and soon have all of New York City clamoring for their services in the supernaturally successful comedy. With Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis, Annie Potts. And, it's time to get slimed again, as New York faces a host of horrific menaces...but after five years of forced retirement, can the Ghostbusters still come through? Murray, Aykroyd, Ramis, Weaver and the rest return for more hauntingly funny hi-jinks in the hit sequel, "Ghostbusters II." 3 1/2 hrs. total.
Ramis talks Ghostbusters 3 Harold Ramis has been caught talking about Ghostbusters 3 again, and this time it looks like he has an answer for the stubborn Bill Murray who continues to refuse to be involved. Richard Brunton 2006-05-17T09:13:37+00:00
Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis wrote the script, but Bill Murray gets all the best lines and moments in this 1984 comedy directed by Ivan Reitman (Meatballs). The three comics, plus Ernie Hudson, play the New York City-based team that provides supernatural pest control, and Sigourney Weaver is the love interest possessed by an ancient demon. Reitman and company are full of original ideas about hobgoblins--who knew they could "slime" people with green plasma goo?--but hovering above the plot is Murray's patented ironic view of all the action. Still a lot of fun, and an obvious model for sci-fi comedies such as Men in Black. --Tom Keogh, Amazon.com

Harold Ramis A Chicago native, Harold Ramis attended Washington University in St. Louis and graduated in 1966. Inspired by life in a fraternity house on Forsyth Boulevard, Ramis co-wrote the 1978 collegiate farce Animal House, the first of his box-office hits. In the 1980s he wrote and starred in Stripes and Ghostbusters, and directed Caddyshack and National Lampoon's Vacation. In 1993 he wrote and directed the mature comedy Groundhog Day, and later directed 1999's Analyze This and 2002's Analyze That. A dedicated Washington University alumnus and member of its board, Harold Ramis deftly combined wry wit and slapstick into some of Hollywood's most popular and beloved comedies.
As for movies he didn't write, Harold directed Stuart Saves His Family (with Al Franken) and Multiplicity (with Eugene Levy)… and starred in Orange County (with Jack Black), Baby Boom, and As Good as It Gets. He was ... in The Last Kiss with Rachel Bilson and Zach Braff.

Short of launching a company in 2008 called Dreamworks AR, Apatow and Ramis have already covered all the bases. Plot details of The Year One are not being revealed, but the Jack Black starrer will be executive produced by Owen Wilson, who originally developed the whole thing as a vehicle for himself.
