Hamster: Animals
built 234 days ago
Theoretical size of a fully grown adult bull hamster. Objects shown are in correct relative scale. Though small and often seen as harmless, the hamster is the most vicious animal on the planet second only to the koala. The hamster uses an ingenious method which goes largely undetected by those unaware of its vicious tendencies. The hamster uses its powers of hypnosis to hypnotize older siblings or parents of its owner to be cruel to him/her. The owner will then go to the hamster for comfort and will eventually willingly serve as a tool in the Bear World Order.

The common hamster is a solitary, aggressive animal with interesting burrowing and hoarding habits. The burrows are not deep, rarely more than 2 ft (0.6 m), and consist of a large centralchamber with radiating side chambers for special purposes, such as for hoarding food, for living quarters, and for excretion. A so-called summer chamber is used for breeding. The hamster goes into its burrow in the autumn, closes off the entrance, and goes to sleep. It does not hibernate deeply and wakes up from time to time to eat. See ... Hibernation.

A hamster has no odor. It is a very clean animal, easily tamed, and naturally inquisitive. It may hibernate if exposed to cold conditions below 50°, or "semi-hibernate" at temperatures between 70-80° (usually for periods of less than a few minutes). So, don't assume its left this life because it hasn't moved around for awhile!!

hamster The cheek pouches of the hamster extend to the scapulae and can be everted. When distended, they more than double the width of the animal’s head and shoulders. The cheek pouches are markedly deficient of intact lymphatics, making this area an "immunologically privileged" site. This area is useful for studying tissue or tumor transplantation, as foreign tissue transplanted to the cheek pouch is not subjected to normal rejection.
