ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Borders is providing a safe, community-based Halloween "Spooktacular" in Borders, Waldenbooks and Borders Express stores nationwide Friday, Oct. 26. This free family-friendly event is filled with monster activities, spooky stories, ghoulish games, a candy scavenger hunt and a frighteningly-fun costume contest for all ages. Prizes will be awarded for the costume contest and games along with ghostly items to take home. Some people may have trouble deciding on a Halloween costume, but there's no doubt what treat this group prefers. Almost three-quarters of those surveyed - 73% - say chocolate is their preferred treat for avoiding Halloween tricks. Lollipops came in second, followed by hard candy and bubble gum. Gummy candy rounded out the top five treats.
