Haley Joel Osment is an Academy Award-nominated American actor. As a young child, his first film role was as Forrest Gump's son... named Forrest Gump, in the 1994 film of the same name. He had roles in numerous TV series, including "Thunder Alley", "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" and most notably the final season of "Murphy Brown". Osment came to fame with his starring role in the 1999 thriller, "The Sixth Sense". He subsequently had leading roles in several high-profile Hollywood films, including "Pay It Forward" and "A.I.", with his most recent being 2003's "Secondhand Lions". He is also notable for providing the voice of Sora, the protagonist in the "Kingdom Hearts" series, one of the most high-profile video game series to make heavy use of voice acting.

Haley Joel Osment began his career at age five with a featured appearance in a TV commercial for Pizza Hut. With his blond hair, expressive blue eyes and moon face, this juvenile player soon landed his first screen role as Forest Junior in the Oscar-winning "Forest Gump" (1994). Osment segued to TV series, playing the adorable grandson of a gruff Edward Asner in the short-lived ABC sitcom "Thunder Alley" (1994-95) followed by a two-year stint as Jeff Foxworthy's son in "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" (ABC, 1995-96; NBC, 1996-97). The busy young actor continued to land guest roles including a recurring stint as Candice Bergen's son Avery Brown on the CBS sitcom "Murphy Brown" in it final season and memorable turns as a boy genius on "The Pretender" in 1998 and a cancer-stricken boy determined to sue God on a moving episode of "Ally McBeal" in 1999. Additionally, Osment appeared in TV-movies more than holding his own acting alongside such veterans as Tom Selleck ("Last Stand at Saber River", TNT 1997), Christopher Lloyd ("The Ransom of Red Chief", ABC, 1998) and Maureen O'Hara ("Cab to Canada", CBS 1998).

Haley Joel Osment attended a private event for the screening of his new movie “Home of the Giants” on July 12th at the the Landmark Theatres in Chicago. In the after party, Haley was joined by his family and his co-star in the indie film Ryan Merriman to celebrate a production that took two years. The plot revolves around a high school journalist "Gar" played Haley Joel Osment, who covers his school's basketball team as it approaches toward a state championship. Gar's best friend, Matt played by Ryan Merriman is the team's star. But things turns complicated when Matt persuades Gar to take part in robbery and Gar has to deal with the state title and Matt's future on the line.
