   Boalt Hall displayed some star power on May 6 when celebrity "alum" Peter Gallagher of The OC television series paid a visit to adoring members of the OC at Boalt club. Cheering wildly and sporting de rigueur orange T-shirts, dozens of law students took a breather from finals to greet the wavy-haired actor who plays Boalt-educated, former public defender Sandy Cohen on the hit show set in Orange County.

7. Peter Gallagher -- New York
   Peter Gallagher, who grew up in Armonk, New York, developed an interest for acting as a teenager starring in school plays and musicals. After graduating from Tufts University, he made his professional stage debut in the 1977 revival of Hair, followed by a starring role in the Broadway production
8. Samuel C. Johnson -- S.C. Johnson
   For antitrust reasons, S.C. Johnson & Son had to divest three Drackett brands within sectors in which the company was already very strong: Endust cleaning sprays, Behold furniture polish, and Renuzit air fresheners. A further divestment came in 1993 after the company decided to sell the bulk of its shampoo and lotion lines. In August of that year the Agree and Halsa brands were sold to Dep Corporation for $45 million. Less than a year later Dep sued S.C. Johnson & Son, charging it with changing its marketing of the two brands before the deal was closed, withholding sales information, and making false representations to Dep prior to the acquisition; and seeking recision of the deal plus $75 million in damages. Johnson Wax was the object of another lawsuit filed in 1997 that claimed that the company discriminated against blacks in its hiring and promotion policies. By 1997 William D. Perez, former head of the worldwide consumer products division, had become president and CEO of S.C. Johnson & Son.
9. Oliver Platt
   Oliver Platt is a versatile character actor with stage, film and TV credits. The son of a career U.S. diplomat, Platt grew up in DC and the Middle East. After graduation from Tufts University, he worked in regional theater. His big break came with a role in Married to the Mob, and he gave a critically acclaimed performance in Bulworth.
