Hades: New Testament

The element of truth in theory of the provisional character of Hades lies in this, that the New Testament never employs it in connection with the final state of punishment, as subsequent to the last judgment. For this GEHENNA (which see) and other terms are used. Dives is represented as being in Hades immediately after his death and while his brethren are still in this present life. Whether the implied differentiation between stages of punishment, depending obviously on the difference between the disembodied and reembodied state of the lost... carries with itself a distinction between two places of punishment, in other words whether Hades and Gehenna are locally distinct, the evidence is scarcely sufficient to determine. The New Testament places the emphasis on the eschatological developments at the end, and leaves many things connected with the intermediate state in darkness.

Hades/Sheol is pictured as having two compartments in both the Old and New Testaments. These compartments are best illustrated in Lk 16 where the rich man went to the "torment" compartment and the poor man went to the "comfort" compartment. Between these two compartments is an "impassable gulf".

Hades in the Old Covenant is called Sheol, the Pit, or the Grave. Sheol is always linked with Death in the Old Covenant as Hades is linked with Death in the New Covenant.

Glazia is the capital city of the planet Hades. The History of the capital city of Glazia, dates back to the year 2219, when a group of newly arrived UNSC colonists ran into a large river which was surrounded by high hills. The place was perfect for constructing a new settlement, and due to the landscape it was situated on (mainly hills) it was exactly the place for a compound of military importance. In a few years time the settlement became increasingly inhabited by colonists and the little settlement grew ever larger in size. Soon, the majority of colonists on Hades came to this settlement and initially named it "New Washington". However, in the year 2236, this city was declared the main political and military city on Hades and quickly became the Capital of the planet. In the same year, it was ... renamed to "Glazia".

Besides activities covered by this construction task, other activities by HADES collaboration members complement the upgrade project (see below). The final goal is to have the spectrometer ready for high multiplicity experiments early 2009. As was shown in simulations, the spectrometer will then ... be well equipped to cope with heavy ion reactions using SIS100 beams. The current planning foresees to continue the experimental program at SIS18 until all cave installation at the new experimental site is ready. The transfer of the spectrometer from the current experimental site to the new CBM cave will take about 1.5 years including commissioning of all detector elements after transport.

France has ... abandoned the Hades missile and medium-range ground-to-ground missiles. Its deterrent force will in future be based solely on submarine and air components. Under the nuclear-powered guided-missile submarine programme, France is to commission four "Triomphant" class submarines, with the first coming into service around 2005. Each submarine will be equipped with 16 M-45 missiles carrying 6 nuclear TN-75 warheads. The M-51 missile, fitted with a new nuclear warhead, is to replace the M-45 from 2010. The airborne component consists of three Mirage 2000N squadrons and two Super Etendard Navy flotilla, equipped with medium-range air-to-ground missiles (ASMP).
