Last week, Gwen and Jed were discovered laying next to each other on a bed. They were even touching! This was a amazing, as Jed usually gives Gwen a growl when she comes near him. It only took a year!

Born in Ascalon, Gwen has witnessed horrible things in her young life, seeing both her country and family destroyed by the Charr. After the Searing, she was captured and enslaved by the Charr, but escaped and fled north, where she found other human exiles. Since then, Gwen has become an adventurer. She makes her home in the Eye of the North, the headquarters of the Ebon Vanguard, where she serves Captain Langmar. She is one of the fiercest defenders of Ascalon, determined to exact vengeance against those who destroyed her home. Gwen has survived on the edges of Charr territory for years, watching them tear apart her childhood dreams and her beautiful homeland.

At the beginning of "End of Days", Gwen jokingly tells Rhys she is using telepathy on him. Throughout the episode, her emotions are played with as Rhys' life is threatened then taken away, eventually leading a coup with Owen to overthrow Jack and open the Rift, believing it will resurrect Rhys. While ecstatic when eventually Rhys is returned at the price of Jack, who battled with Abaddon and remained dead for days, Gwen stayed by his side for the entire time, unwavering in her belief in him, before he is finally resurrected, and thanks her after she kisses his dead lips. After Jack's disappearance she, along with the rest of the Torchwood Three team, was dispatched on a "wild goose chase" to the Himalayas by Mr. Saxon.

Gwen was born and raised in New Orleans and counts Louis Armstrong among her closest friends. She is a graduate of Newcomb College at Tulane University and double majored in History and Soviet Studies. Gwen was a Thomas J. Watson Fellow in Eastern Europe when the Berlin wall fell. Luckily, she was not hurt.
