Gwen Stefani Santa Monica, CA Gwen Stefani will release her second solo album, The Sweet Escape, on December 5, 2006. The new album is the follow-up to 2004's quadruple-platinum Love. Angel. Music. Baby., which included the hits 'Hollaback Girl' and 'What You Waiting For?"
Gwen Stefani's shtick has come to embody an entire female generation's attitude toward good times and spending money. Both "Yummy" and the lead single "Wind It Up" speak to the joys of clubbing (with the latter sampling The Sound of Music). And if there's anyone out there who still can't relate to cell phones, club culture and two-ways, the slinky manifesto "Orange County Girl," wherein Gwen admits to once "selling makeup at the mall," should do the trick.
Gwen Stefani reportedly is planning to do an auction of her recent world tour memorabilia. The auction purpose is to raise money for California charities. She's offering fans a chance to purchase costumes and set pieces from her 2007 "The Sweet Escape" concerts.
