For the song 'Harajuku Girls', Gwen Stefani hired four girls to dress up in several different styles from the Harajuku district of Tokyo to appear in videos, follow her around and basically do what she did. Weird? Very. But that's Gwen.

Since she's as renowned for what she wears on stage as what she sings from it, it's little wonder flashy fashionista Gwen Stefani's personal style translates directly to her music. Her pop songs are a sexed-up melee of rockabilly and Rasta influences as well as hints of Harajuku and hip-hop. Initial single "Wind It Up" features a confident mishmash of dub, breakbeat, and hip-hop and centers around a circuslike drumbeat, yodeling (you knew that was coming), and rap-chants. "This beat is for the clubs and cars that go boom!" she cries, which about sums most of her jams.
One of the biggest stars of the music scene today is going to be on American Idol this week, Gwen Stefani! Watch on Tuesday at 8/7c as she guides the Top 10 in doing the best job they can singing songs from the '90's. Come back on Wednesday at 9/8c for the results and what is sure to be an amazing performance by Gwen.
