With Guillermo Coria and Gaston Gaudio, Nalbandian is one of three players participating from Argentina. To advance out of the Red Group, Nalbandian must demonstrate the strong tennis he displayed recently at Madrid and Basel, and take care of business against Coria and Ivan Ljubicic. Nalbandian defeated Coria early this year at the Australian Open, but fell to the Croatian in the Madrid semifinals.

Gaudio's compatriot, Guillermo Coria, had dominated the early stages of the match, played in hot sunshine in front of a packed crowd on the Court Phillippe Chatrier. Gaudio later admitted that he had been too scared in his first appearance in a Grand Slam final. He could hardly lay his racket on the ball, and Coria took the first set 6-0 in just 24 minutes.

Coria Sixth seed Guillermo Coria pulled off an amazing comeback against Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu on Wednesday to book a place in the third round of the Monte Carlo Masters. Having dropped the first set 6-1 and traling 5-1 in the second the Argentine recovered to eventually take the match 1-6 7-6 6-4.
Coria Guillermo Coria, who turned pro at 18, was suspended in 2001 at age 19 for two years. It was eventually reduced to seven months after a lab test showed the multivitamin was tainted with steroids, Nystrom said.
Coria, the third seed, reached the semi-finals on Tuesday with a 7-5, 7-6 (7/3), 6-3 win over Spain’s 1998 winner Carlos Moya and will now face Henman. Henman became the first British player to reach the last four here for 41 years and must beat red-hot favourite Coria if he is to become the first Briton to make the final since 1937.
