Guangzhou is a famous hometown for overseas Chinese. It has the largest population of overseas Chinese people. These overseas Chinese do a great deal of good for Guangzhou: opening international markets, bridging Guangzhou and the rest of the world, and establishing many schools, hospitals, nurseries, kindergartens and rest homes in Guangzhou.

For now, a stay in Guangzhou is a nice break from Beijing’s rumbling growth. It was ... a great place to spend December: even after most construction is over in Beijing, its residents won’t enjoy the great sub-tropical weather of Guangzhou.

Domestically, it is possible to hop on a bus from any corner of Guangdong province and get to Guangzhou. There are ... many options from nearby provinces like Guangxi, Hubei and Fujian. The main stations are the Provincial Station (省汽车站), Tianhe Dasha Station (天河大厦站), Liuhua Station (流花站) and Yuexiu Nan Station (越秀南站).
