Sweco® Vibro-Energy® Grinding Mills are the most versatile line of mills available today for fast, low-cost particle size reduction to sub-micron range. Vibro-Energy grinding action achieves higher output per input horsepower; precise control of size and distribution. Product contamination from media and lining wear is virtually eliminated. Maintenance costs are low because of few moving parts and replaceable linings made of abrasion-resistant metal, ceramic or elastomers.

Grinding machines remove material from the workpiece by abrasion, which can generate substantial amounts of heat; they therefore incorporate a coolant to cool the workpiece so that it does not overheat and go outside its tolerance. The coolant ... benefits the machinist as the heat generated may cause burns in some cases. In very high-precision grinding machines (most cylindrical and surface grinders) the final grinding stages are usually set up so that they remove about 2/10000mm (less than 1/100000 in) per pass - this generates so little heat that even with no coolant, the temperature rise is negligible.

Grinding machines remove small chips from metal parts that are brought into contact with a rotating abrasive wheel called a grinding wheel or an abrasive belt. Grinding is the most accurate of all of the basic machining processes. Modern grinding machines grind hard or soft parts to tolerances of plus or minus 0.0001 inch (0.0025 millimetre).

Grinding wheels should be considered cutting tools and have to be sharpened. A wheel dresser sharpens by "breaking off" the outer layer of abrasive grit from the wheel with star shaped rotating cutters which ... have to be replaced from time to time. This leaves the cutting edges of the grit sharp and clean.

Tooth grinding does not always lead to harm. If you do it rarely, then it may have no effect. But if you do it often, it can become serious, causing broad damage to the jaw that may require surgery. It can ... in its most severe instances, cause hearing loss. So if you begin to experience regular headaches and notice a wearing of the teeth, go see your dentist. This condition may grind away out of mind, but if allowed to persist unabated, it won't be out of sight for too long.
