Greg Biffle won the Ford 400 for the third consecutive season, beating rookies Martin Truex Jr. and Denny Hamlin to the finish line. Kasey Kahne was fourth and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five. Kenseth was sixth. Source: Nascar.com

Greg Biffle got a fifth-place finish Sunday at Bristol, his first top-10 finish of the season in the No. 16 Ford, but the car was found to be too low in postrace inspection. NASCAR vice president for competition Robin Pemberton said Biffle's car would be taken back to the research and development facility in Concord for more examination. Penalties will be forthcoming early this week.

Biffle, the 2005 series runner-up, will sport the black and gold Ameriquest Racing colors on the #16 Ford Fusion for nearly the entire 36-race schedule. Throughout the 2006 season, Ameriquest sponsored four of Roush's NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) teams, which includes drivers Biffle, Mark Martin, Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards. The Ameriquest Dream Team won five races in 2006. Ameriquest plans to activate its 2007 primary sponsorship with Roush Racing with a comprehensive marketing communications program, including on-line consumer promotions and sweepstakes, dedicated NASCAR broadcast advertising, at-track / off-track mobile marketing, customer hospitality and on-going public relations. In addition, Ameriquest, proud sponsor of the American dream, will continue to be the official mortgage company of Roush Racing in 2007.

Biffle close to signing contract extension: Roush Racing officials said they are close to signing Greg Biffle to a contract extension.
