Green Goblin: Spider-Man
built 634 days ago
One of Spider-Man's most famous enemies, the Green Goblin has been a mainstay of the web-slinger's video games, ranging from the 1982 Atari VCS title to 2002's Spider-Man: The Movie. While there have been four Green Goblins in all, the first and most well known is Norman Osbourne, a businessman who began experimenting with a secret formula. This formula increased his strength, intelligence and reaction time, but ... drove him to madness. The character's first appearance was Amazing Spider-Man #14 (July 1964).

The Green Goblin first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #14. His identity was unknown. He proved popular and reappeared in later issues which made a point of his secret identity. Yet Stan Lee and Steve Ditko had no specific identity in mind. Later they disagreed. According to one theory; Stan Lee always wanted him to be someone known by Parker while Ditko wanted him to be a stranger, feeling this was closer to real life.
Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin has inflicted pain on Spider-Man as no other villain has. He caused Peter's best friend and Osborn's son, Harry to go insane and die fighting Spider-Man. He killed the Spider-Clone Ben Reilly, whom Peter loved as a brother. But worst of all, he murdered Peter's first true love Gwen Stacy.

In "Goblin War!", Norman Osborn becomes the Green Goblin again, after being pressured by the Kingpin to reveal the identity of the Hobgoblin, who he has hired before to kill Fisk. The Goblin persona tricks Osborn into thinking that Spider-Man, Hobgoblin, and the Kingpin are trying to hurt him. With the Goblin in control of his body, he then tracks down the Hobgoblin in Jason Phillip Macendale's home, because he knows that villain lived there as Macendale. The Goblin kidnaps him and his fiancée, Felicia Hardy, who had just figured out who Macendale was. He takes the Hobgoblin's Time Dilation Accelerator, a machine which can create portals from anywhere around the world or in other worlds, and nearly kills Macendale and Felicia by almost melting them in a pool of acid at OsCorp. Spider-Man battles the Goblin, knocks him out, saves Felicia and Macendale from certain death and nearly destroys the Accelerator using one of the Goblin's boomerangs. However, the machine has enough energy to create another portal and Spider-Man warns him not to go in because the Accelerator is too low on power and he'll be trapped in limbo.
GREEN GOBLIN Spider-Man Movie 12" Collector Series The Green Goblin sports the same body type as the 12-inch Spider-Man figure, so you can expect at least 22 points of articulation for great action poses. And get a load of that green suit! Detailing is not only spectacular, but ... quite unique. The costume consists of both armor plates and quilted padding, but they work well together--and since the armor is actually sewn on, there won't be any lost pieces to look for. His hood slips on and off easily and the Goblin mask fits perfectly on Norman Osborn's head. Although the facial grimace is a bit over the top and there are no accessories included, this Green Goblin will fit perfectly into any Spidey collection.
