In the Goblin's debut episode, "Enter the Green Goblin", Norman Osborn and his partner, Mendel Stromm, are coerced into creating a formula for the Kingpin that grants superhuman strength. Also, he is one of the few characters in the series who knows that Wilson Fisk is Kingpin. An unstable reaction results during one experiment and Norman disappears in the explosion, presumed dead. His son, Harry, blames the Oscorp stockholders, J. Jonah Jameson, Anastasia Hardy, and Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin), among others, for the death of his father. Soon a mysterious airborne figure, identifying himself as the Green Goblin, begins kidnapping the stockholders one by one.

Weapons: As the Green Goblin, Harry used a variety of weaponry, which, the original Goblin designed. He utilized various concussive and incendiary grenades, constructed in the form of miniature jack o' lanterns. Each of the incendiary grenades ignited almost soundlessly and released enough heat to melt through a three-inch thick sheet of steel. He ... carried a variety of smoke and gas-emitting bombs, which were each surrounded by a light plastic mantle that fluttered like a wraith when the bomb was thrown. He carried his weaponry in a shoulder bag, which, he refers to as his "bag of tricks."

Green Goblin comes with an excellent sculpt showing lots of details dead-on with the film counterpart. The costume's metallic green is highlighted with bright gold and silver wires on the upper arms and legs, with good paint application all over. The signature mask has a wonderfully evil likeness to the creepy mask donned by Willem Dafoe, and is removable (the pained face of Norman Osborne underneath). The likeness to Dafoe here is ok, not spectacular - the negative comes from the strange expression he has. Though reminiscent of the final Green Goblin scene in the film, it doesn't look threatening or insane and isn't fitting of the Green Goblin character.

The Green Goblin took a chemical compound known as the, “Goblin Formula” that increased his strength, agility, endurance, and reflexes to superhuman levels. The formula has ... advanced Osborn’s intellect, making him even more cunning and knowledgeable about chemistry and other aspects of the business world. An apparent side effect of the formula is that it has also increased his rage and emotions, driving him insane. Norman has usually kept this at bay with different chemical patches and medication.

Harry Osborn, as the Green Goblin, possessed the same superhuman attributes and equipment as his father when he first became the original Green Goblin. Harry had ... become criminally insane, like his father.
