Green Goblin: Green Goblins

Green Goblin is a ‘Full Bittersweet’ style of cider, using all English Cider Apples, including Dabinett and Somerset Redstreak varieties. The apples mostly come from West Country orchards, managed much as they always have been, including the arrival of the bee keeper and his bees in the Spring to pollinate the blossom flowers to ‘set’ the fruit in.

The superhero Green Goblin (Phil Urich, nephew of Daily Bugle reporter Ben Urich)... has the ability to produce an ear-shattering maniacal laugh that throws off his enemies. Unlike the other Goblins, Phil was exposed to a different Goblin formula where the powers were dormant. His powers were triggered by the mask, which delivered an electric burst to his brain that activated his strength and speed, with some of the typical negative effects on his sanity. His mask also gave him access to remote-controlled weaponry and spy devices. His increased intelligence seems to stay active even without the mask.

The Green Goblin is more natural looking than its flashier counterparts. It has a slimmer Mayfly nymph profile with just enough subtle flash that the trout can pick up on, and a darker, more natural color than some of the flashier flies. Trout key in on that subtle flash, but, especially in clearer water, they won't snub it nearly as much because it looks more like a real nymph. The smaller sizes work great as a baetis nymph imitation too. Six flies total. Three each in size 14, 16, 18.

In the 1980s, the character of the Green Goblin had long since been dead in the comics, of course with a couple copycats popping up now and again. And with decreased visibility in the books, the character appeared in only two of the combined 50 episodes of both series. This trend of under-representation would continue in the Green Goblin's next cartoon appearance, though it would still become the definitive translation of the character - to date.
