Green Goblin: Goblin Glider
built 605 days ago
Sorry, but the Green Goblin just doesn't have what it takes to defeat the Joker. The Goblin may put up a bit of a fight (pumpkin bombs, that neat-o Goblin Glider, et. al.), but the Joker has a much more powerful mind. The Goblin won't be able to compete with the Joker. The Goblin will be spanked like a 4-year-old in K-Mart.
The Green Goblin comes with a handbag, a PVC Jack O Lantern grenade and the glider. The Peter Parker figure has no articulations. Just like the villain, it isn't an exact recreation from the comic book cover. His head is a separate piece, glued on the body. It would have been fun if it could twist. The paint application is not perfect.
Transportation: As the Green Goblin, Harry Osborn rode through the air on a "goblin-glider" designed by his father. It was capable of great maneuverability and speeds of up to 90 miles per hour. The glider was capable of supporting about 400 pounds; including the Goblin's own weight, aloft. (For very brief moments, the goblin-gilder could support far more weight aloft. In all instances, whatever weight the goblin-glider carried had to be balanced properly or else it would complicate steering the glider.) Top speed and normal full load of weight would exhaust the glider's fuel supply in about one hour. The main microprocessor assisted manual controls were in the "head" of the glider.
Green Goblin, Spider-Man and Gabriel. In the film, the Green Goblin pilots a high-tech Goblin Glider, armed with seeking missiles, machine guns and razor-sharp spears. He ... wears green armor that cybernetically connects him to his glider and weapons. He is seen using three varieties of his signature "pumpkin bombs": one which is a simple explosive; one that releases a bright, radioactive flash which reduces people to skeletons; and one that splits into flying, razor-sharp blades. Rather than carrying a shoulder "bag of tricks", the weapons are contained in the glider. His suit is armed with knockout gas that is released from the wrists. His suit is also linked to the Goblin Glider, allowing him to control it remotely.
Although the Green Goblin's figure resembles its comic book counterpart, it is a modernisation of the Romita look. It's face is much more realistic, its hat is not fluid and snake-like but an edgy and rough shape. The Goblin's glider is completely different from Romita's version. It's wings and hull are thicker. The bat wings are simplified. Nonetheless, this adaptation makes more sense is more visually pleasing.
The Green Goblin was ... a spitting image of his comic book counterpart. In fact, some of the more detailed (and less animated) close-ups were surprisingly effective and creepy. And he had his full complement of weapons: electrical discharge from his gloves, pumpkin bombs, and of course - the bat-glider. The voice acting was also laudable, if a bit goofy here and there.
