The Green Energy & Transportation (G.E.T.) show is the first public exhibition to empower consumers to get thinking green! The G.E.T. show will be an engaging, educational and an entertaining experience for just about anyone.
Green Energy does not have anything to do with color. It means generating power in an earth-friendly way. How do the sun, the wind and the ocean make green energy? What about conservation? What can you do to make a difference?

Green Energy plans to build highly efficient, environmentally friendly power plants at Germany's best geothermal sites. Construction commences as soon as exploration and drilling work has been completed. Green Energy geothermal power plants are designed for production of 6 MW, about the electricity consumption of a small town with a population of 30,000 inhabitants.

Green Energy month at The Ark will kick off Oct. 30 with a free concert featuring Detroit band Zebula Avenue. Anyone enrolling in GreenCurrents that night - or at any Ark show in November - will receive a CD from that evening's performer; the new Mountain Heart CD, Road That Never Ends, recorded live at The Ark; or a ticket to an upcoming Ark performance (up to a $20 value).
December 2000 - Green Mountain Energy Company announced that it filed an application with the Public Utility Commission of Texas to become a licensed retail electric supplier in the state. Green Mountain, which is headquartered in Austin, plans to begin selling green power to retail customers in June 2001, when the state initiates its competitive market pilot program. The company is the first green power marketer to apply for a retail electric service license in Texas.
