Green Day was the top winner of the night winning six Moon Men. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" garnered "Video of the Year," "Best Group Video," "Best Rock Video," "Best Direction in a Video," "Best Editing in a Video," and "Best Cinematography." Winners for "Viewer's Choice," "MTV2 Award," and "Best Video Game From a Soundtrack" were not determined at the issue of this release.

At the 2001 California Music Awards, Green Day won all eight awards that they were nominated for. They won the awards for Outstanding Album (Warning), Outstanding Punk Rock/Ska Album (Warning), Outstanding Group, Outstanding Male Vocalist, Outstanding Bassist, Outstanding Drummer, Outstanding Songwriter and Outstanding Artist.[28]

It is confirmed that U2 are currently in the studio with Green Day. The two groups are collaborating on a cover version of The Skids song, The Saints Are Coming. Proceeds are going to Music Rising. Music Rising donates musical instruments to New Orleans musicians whom lost their possessions during Hurricane Katrina.
