A new Leadership Class will be offered in the Spring of 2008, for current Greek members interested in learning more about leadership, service, and ethics with a Greek emphasis. The class is Comm 3136- Leadership, Service, and Ethics - Section 002, and will be offered MW 9:30-10:45am. The Alpha Gamma Delta sorority is hosting their 20th annual Mr. Greek event tonight. Many of the fraternity members within the Greek system at the University of Washington enter the event to compete, put on a highly entertaining show and raise money for the Treehouse Foundation, which benefits foster children and diabetes research. Last year $27,000 was raised. Members and alumni can find licensed Greek clothing to wear to their fundraisers as well as gifts and other merchandise in the Alpha Gamma Delta Store .

Those interested in the Greek experience should anticipate spending on average 1-2 hours per week of time and between $400 - $800 per year in dues and fees. But keep in mind, Greek dues account for less than 2% of a college students annual expenses. This is a small investment when you account for the tremendous benefits of Greek membership.

The member organizations of the National Panhellenic Conference are women's fraternities, each of which is autonomous as a social, Greek-letter society of college women, undergraduates and alumnae. National Panhellenic Conference is an organization established to foster interfraternity relationships, to assist collegiate chapters of the NPC member groups, and to cooperate with colleges and universities in maintaining the highest scholastic and social standards.

Instead, it’s the college nostalgia that’s drawing them in. The Greek system keeps a loyal following even after members have graduated from school. The North-American Interfraternity Conference represents 4.5 million college fraternity alumni, as well as 350,000 current students.
