Grass: History of Marijuana is a 1999 Canadian documentary film directed by Ron Mann, premiered in Toronto Film Festival, about the history of the United States government's war on marijuana in the 20th century. The film places much of the blame for marijuana criminalization on Harry Anslinger (the first American drug czar) who promoted false information about marijuana to the American public as a means towards abolition.

Grass has many advantages and disadvantages in comparison to other Cannabis preparations. Since it is denser, it burns easier and stays lit for longer. However, many pipes and bowls are not efficient for smoking grass because the fine particles can fall through the screen, resulting in Scooby Snacks. A second disadvantage to grass is that it is harder for the consumer to determine the purity of it, other than by its colour and smell. It would be hard to detect if the quality product has been contaminated, or laced.

When defending against Physical moves, the Grass-type has limited value. The Grass-type resists Ground-type moves, but has no resistance to Rock-type or Steel-type moves and is weak to Flying-type moves. A Grass-type can... utilize a Ground-type move or either a powerful super effective Grass-type move or a move like Sleep Powder to incapacitate the foe.

Parasect appears at first to be a useless lump, even with the equal-highest Attack of the Grass types. On top of being immensely slow, (one of the slowest final-evolutions in the game), having the lowest Special and HP of the Grass types, and being double-weak to Fire, Flying, and Poison, he learns no decent moves aside from his one saving grace: Spore. Spore is the only Sleep move in the game with 255 accuracy, the highest obtainable. Spore can be a tool of mass destruction if used properly, especially in the manner described below.

Most Grass-types learn Leech Seed, and many learn Sleep Powder and Stun Spore. This makes Grass-types able to provide support to the rest of a team, and makes Grass-type Pokémon much harder to faint. Grass-types are ... the only type with immunity to Leech Seed, which is often a valuable trait.
