If your catalog year is 1996-98 or later, you must file a Declaration of Graduation no later than the semester in which you earn your 87th hour. If you do not complete your form in this semester, you will be prevented from further registration. If you change your major, minor, concentration within the major, or catalog year after filing a Declaration of Graduation, the first form will no longer be valid and you must submit a new one. Make an appointment with your academic advisor to review a degree audit report from DARS. At this time, you will complete the Declaration of Graduation form.

UCFV recognizes a student’s graduation by awarding a degree, diploma, or certificate. Students must apply for graduation by completing a Graduation Request form, available at the Admissions and Records office or online.

In an effort to improve student achievement and high school graduation rates, many states are turning to e-learning or 'virtual' schools. Every state has some form of e-learning program in operation and 21 have already created state-led virtual schools. Enrollment is growing rapidly, with e- learning programs experiencing growth of 50 to 100 percent per year.

All Summer or Fall 2007 graduates and Spring 2008 candidates, who have submitted a Petition to Graduate form, will be notified by the Student Record Evaluator in April about graduation. A formal graduation packet will be mailed with a response card.

If you are NOT eligible to graduate, your graduation fee cannot be refunded or rolled forward to a future convocation. Therefore, you are encouraged to consult with your program advisor(s) before submitting your Graduation Request form.
