Graduation: Graduation Ceremony

If you do not wish to attend a graduation ceremony, you still need to apply to graduate so that you can graduate in absentia and receive your award in the mail. When your application to graduate has been processed and your school has confirmed that you have completed your program, you will be conferred on the last working day of that particular month. Your award will be posted to you by registered mail approximately six weeks after the conferral date.

The summer 2008 graduation ceremonies will take place between 9 -18 July. To attend the ceremony you must complete a graduation form - these will be available from your School / Faculty Office at the end of January. The deadline for the return of forms is Thursday 13 March.

To ensure that a student's name is included in the graduation program, the student should apply for graduation with the Office of Records and Registration prior to April 18. For easy reference, names will be placed in the program alphabetically. This will not be the order for graduation at the commencement ceremony.

When the graduation audits have been completed, the Eligible Candidates List is posted on the CVTC website. Please allow twoweeks for this process. List is updated on Fridays. The list for the May 2008 ceremony will be updated mid-February.
