Degree Candidates must officially apply for graduation no later than the end of the first week of the Semester of the expected graduation date. Candidates who apply after the deadline must include a signed approval from their Academic Dean for late application submission. Acceptance of late applications does not guarantee that the candidate’s name will appear in the Commencement Program book.

The semester before you are expected to graduate, you must apply for graduation by midterm . You complete the graduation application and bring it in to the MPA Degree Program Assistant. She will check your portfolio and academic record and note what is missing before collecting the signature of the MPA Director and the Chair of the Political Science Department. Once your graduation application is signed, you take it to Business Office, along with your graduation application fee. Have them sign the form, then handcarry it to the Registrar's office.

Paying the graduation fee at the Business Office when other semester fees are paid. The graduation fee must be paid by the following dates: September 15 for November or December graduation, January 30 for May graduation, and July 30 for August graduation. The fee must be paid for the application to be complete and the graduation fee is nonrefundable; and

You may apply for graduation by mail. Print the Application for Graduation, complete the form and mail with payment to the address listed on the form. NOTE: If you are re-filing for graduation, you do not have to pay the fee again, but you do need to send an updated application.
