Government Information: Agencies
built 613 days ago
Booz Allen Hamilton, a global strategy and technology consulting leader, will unveil a simulated "war game" challenge at FOSE 2006 to help government agencies more effectively manage their information technology portfolios. Consultants, serving as advisors, will guide government's senior information technologists as they move across a five foot by seven foot game board in a competitive race to manage the risks and rewards of information technology projects. The Booz Allen Challenge, housed within FOSE's Enterprise Pavilion, will take place during FOSE 2006 from March 7-9 at the Washington DC Convention Center.

GSA is a centralized, federal procurement, property management, policy development and information provision agency, created by Congress to improve government efficiency and help federal agencies better serve the public. In this role, GSA acquires products and services on behalf of federal agencies; plays a key role in developing and implementing governmentwide policies; provides services and solutions for the office operations of more than one million federal workers; and encourages a citizen-centric relationship with government by providing a single "point of entry" to the information and services citizens need in a timeframe they can appreciate. This allows citizens to receive accurate, timely and consistent answers and information, and helps federal agencies better respond to citizen inquiries. U.S. General Services Administration
"This highly successful interagency team defined and agreed upon data-at- rest requirements, which enabled the government to establish these critically important BPAs," said David Wennergren, DoD's deputy chief information officer. "It is truly historic in that agencies from across all levels of the government came together to solve a problem and develop an acquisition solution to meet all federal and local government DAR security requirements in an incredibly short time-frame."
