Bank of America opened its first government lending fulfillment operations center in Jacksonville, FL, in June 2006. That facility employs about 300 associates in its specialized government lending operations. Bank of America's production volume for FHA and VA loans is expected to be nearly $2 billion in 2007, more than double the volume from 2006.

The Founding Fathers, the framers of the Constitution, wanted to form a government that did not allow one person to have too much authority or control. While under the rule of the British king they learned that this could be a bad system. Yet government under the Articles of Confederation taught them that there was a need for a strong centralized government.

The boundaries between the above forms of government are not absolutely clear. For example, during the 19th century, many proclaimed "democracies" restricted voting rights to a minority of the population (e.g. property-owning males). This could qualify them as oligarchies, rather than as democracies

Since the end of December, by central government edict, every English council has had to “provide every councillor with the option to have an easy-to-manage set of public web pages”. Most authorities claim to have met the target in theory. In spirit... it has been missed by a mile.
