Good Charlotte: Bands
built 659 days ago
Good Morning Revival In 2004, Good Charlotte returned with The Chronicles of Life and Death, which hit number three on the Billboard charts but failed to sell as well as the band's previous album. Wilson exited the band in mid-2005, citing health reasons, and later went on to join the Summer Obsession. Dean Butterworth (who had previously drummed for Morrissey, among others) joined up in time for sessions for the crew's fourth album, which were held in Vancouver and away from the Madden-loving paparazzi (especially Joel and his then-girlfriend Hilary Duff). The much more varied Good Morning Revival appeared in late March 2007, spearheaded by the single "The River," which featured M. Shadows and Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, All Music Guide

Good Charlotte released their first, self-titled album in 2000 and it made a small impact on the charts. The second album The Young and the Hopeless came out in 2002 with the Madden brothers gaining publicity by hosting the MTV countdown All Things Rock as VJ's. The album included the band's breakthrough single "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" which reached the top 20 on the US pop singles chart and the top 10 in the UK.

Good Charlotte is a pop-punk band that banged around the gates of success for six years before striking gold with 2002’s multi-platinum smash, The Young and the Hopeless. Then, as fame and fortune came their way and they became teen tabloid fodder, they found themselves known more for lead singer Joel Madden’s relationship to Nicole Richie, for their tattoos and their personalities than their music. But if their record sales have suffered, it doesn’t seem to be bothering them much.

Good Charlotte Good Charlotte could possibly be one of the best pop-punk bands on tour at the moment. Their rise seems fast and furious culminating with the cover of the current issue of Rolling Stone magazine. While the genre is hugely popular right now, the mainly teenage crowd at the sold-out Chicago show would certainly testify that there's no end in site. Founding members, the Madden twins, enegerize the band from within, with Joel providing the edgy vocals and Benji providing the signature power guitar licks.
Good Charlotte - Good Charlotte Good Charlotte is a band from Waldorf, Maryland that formed in 1996. They took the name 'Good Charlotte' from a children's book: Good Charlotte: The Girls Of Good Day Orphanage by Carol Beach York. They have released four albums, most notably 2002's multiplatinum seller The Young and the Hopeless, which spawned the chart topping singles, "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous," "The Anthem," and "Girls and Boys." The band's third is 2004's The Chronicles of Life and Death and the fourth and most recent released 2007 is called "Good Morning Revival".

Good Charlotte Tickets By the end of 2002, pop-punk band Good Charlotte was all over the radio, television, and the concert stage. Not bad for a band which was started only six years earlier by a couple of teenagers who’d never even played an instrument.
