Good Charlotte: Albums

Good Charlotte For eight years Good Charlotte has grinded away - getting better each and every year. Promoting their recent platinum album, The Young And The Hopeless, Good Charlotte performed many songs including their mega hits "The Anthem" and "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" which kept the crowd on their feet jumping and moshing during the entire set. Contrary to what prognosticators might say, moshing will never die as long the beat is hard and the vibe is raw. It will just go by another name.
Good Charlotte - Good Morning Revival Over the course of their musical career, Good Charlotte has jumped on almost every major musical trend. Their first album (arguably their best album) was upbeat and infectious with pop-punk goodness. The next two albums that followed tried to go the “dark and goth” image route, which brought on major success but left them with little cred. On their fourth and latest album, Good Morning Revival, this four-piece have jumped on the latest trend, which is the synth/dance-punk movement. How does this work out for them? Well, as this very site’s webmaster puts it: “Good Charlotte has lost it.”
In late 2006 Good Charlotte announced that their 4th album Good Morning Revival would be released in 2007. The in-store date was set at March 27, 2007 after multiple delays. The first single from the album is "The River."

After releasing an EP, entitled Another EP, in 1999, Good Charlotte released their first self-titled album in 2000, which was not a huge commercial success. Singles that were released from that album include "Little Things" and "Motivation Proclamation," and "Festival Song".

A success from the outset, the album sold more than three million copies, landed Good Charlotte in Rolling Stone, SNL, CNN, The Today Show, The New York Times and MTV, where they became fixtures. The album and perhaps the group’s shining moment is with “Hold On,” a song and video about suicide, which was labeled therapy rock by the N. Y. Times. The video, which was made in conjunction with several suicide prevention groups, won the MTV Viewer’s Choice video of the year, and gave critics the idea that there might be more to Good Charlotte than they had thought.
