Religion is a central, defining element in human life, and the concept of God or deities holds such a central place in most religious traditions. Thus, it is natural that the subject of God comes up repeatedly in a pop culture medium such as Marvel superhero comics.

Through this act of accepting this mark on his forehead, the Pope has signaled his acceptance of Shiva as a religion just as valid as Christianity. Since Shiva has much in common with the New Age religion, the Pope has signaled his acceptance of the New Age as a religion just as valid as Christianity. Not only does the Roman Catholic Church contain much Pagan doctrine, not only does the Pope now utilize the Satanic Bent Cross instead of the traditional Crucifix, but now we see him accepting the Shiva Religion on an equal basis with Christianity.

Some religions maintain that there is just one God and that all the gods of all religions except theirs were created by human beings. Yet, everyone who believes in a god of some sort believes their god is real.

Future Atheists believe that God exists now, but will be dead in the future. They practice their religions as normal, but have edited out parts of their religious texts which refer to God's eduring nature, such as the last part of the Lord's prayer, "...forever and ever, Amen."
