G&S Onilne T-shirt back logo These Glock service pistols have several fundamental design advantages over most other semi-autos. For one, the grip angle is ergonomic, similar to that of the classic Luger pistol that was famous for its good pointing qualities. The Glock Safe Action trigger mechanism makes it possible to take full advantage of the inherent low recoil and muzzle flip of the Glock pistols. Once a Glock shooter has learned proper trigger control, double taps can be achieved faster than with almost any other pistol.

A subcompact Glock 29 in the powerful 10 mm Auto cartridge. In 2003, Glock announced the Internal Locking System (ILS) safety feature. The ILS is a manually activated lock that is located in the back of the pistol's grip. It is cylindrical in design and, according to Glock, each key is unique. Group key hierarchic solutions are available for law enforcement agencies. When activated, the lock causes a tab to protrude from the rear of the grip. This is done to give both a visual and tactile indication as to whether the lock is engaged or not.
Performance Glock Glock pistols are sold all over the world and the company reports that it has sold over 2.5 million pistols in over 100 countries worldwide. Over 60% of United States police departments use Glock guns as their standard issue weapon for their force. The United States Federal Bureau of Investigations issues its agents the Glock 22 or Glock 23 upon their graduation from the academy.
