Glasgow: Middle Ages
built 194 days ago
Glasgow would bounce back, and didn't lose another home game until Ulster came to Hughenden in January 2007. Glasgow played well away to English side Saracens in the European Challenge Cup, and drew with them at home en-route to a Quarter-Final berth. But in that Quarter-final they were once again drawn with Saracens, and despite a fantastic display they lost out 23-19 at Vicarage road.
There were ... 'hospitals' in Glasgow. In the Middle Ages the church ran the only ‘hospitals’. In them monks would care for the sick as best they could. A 'hospital' for lepers was founded south of the Clyde in 1350.
Racing Once again the club is planning a New Year trip to Hinterstoder, Austria, flying from Glasgow on 27th December 2008 and returning on 3rd January 2009. The current guide price (depends on price of next season’s lift pass) is £800 adults, £700 under-16s, including flights, transfers and accommodation (half-board) and lift pass. Booking forms and further details are available from the club office, and deposits of £120 per person will be required,
