Gina Gershon should be an international star. She currently is a star, but the voltage isn't as high as it could be. There are many reasons for it (a couple of horrible movie roles will do the trick), but Gina wouldn't waste a second thinking about it. After all, she's a woman that has never cared much what anyone else thinks of her and, more importantly, she doesn't want to be the world's biggest actress la Julia Roberts.

Born the youngest of five children, raised in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, Gershon gets her exotic looks from her French, Russian, and Dutch heritage. After high school, she decided she wanted a more sophisticated image than those usually attributed to Valley Girls like herself and so moved to the Big Apple, to earn a bachelor of arts degree at New York University. Gina Gershon was born on June 10, 1962, and raised in Woodland Hills in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles. A mix of Dutch, Russian and French, Gina is the daughter of Stan, a salesman, and Mickey, an interior decorator. She led a different childhood while growing up in California, and wasn't your typical Valley Girl.
