Gil Bellows (born June 28, 1967 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian film and television actor. Bellows attended Magee Secondary School with fellow future actor Carrie-Anne Moss. After graduation he pursued a career in acting, studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, California.

Gil Bellows is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Billy Thomas in FOX's drama series "Ally McBeal." He made his debut on American television as a guest star in an episode of "Law & Order." Gil is married to actress Rya Kihlstedt, whom he met in 1991 while they were both working on the Williamstown Theater Festival. They have two daughters together.
