Based on the '08 schedule formula, the Giants' possible opponents are the Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles, 49ers, Seahawks, Ravens, Bengals and Panthers. The obvious candidate would be the Cowboys, but the NFL has yet to arrange a divisional matchup for the season-opening game.

The Giants have huge potential, but fans were somewhat frustrated in the 2006 season by their Wildcard loss to the Eagles in the playoffs. The Giants return for the next few years hoping to separate themselves from the rest of the NFC East, but that will be a hard task. If the Jets end up on the home game schedule, make sure you get your ticket to that game early, because it should be one of the most popular games of the year.

The Giants head into tonight's NFC Championship Game healthier than they've been at any other time in the playoffs. Veteran cornerback Sam Madison, who missed the previous two playoff games with a strained abdominal muscle, will make his return, as he's activated for this game. It's unlikely Madison will start. Tom Coughlin wants to make that determination after seeing how Madison looks in the pregame warmup.
