Ghost Squad: Wii Remotes

Ghost Squad The Ghost Squad is a Special Forces unit established in strict secrecy by the U.N. to combat terrorism and carry out special highly-classified missions without leaving a trace. As an elite member of the Ghost Squad, players will complete dangerous missions such as eliminating terrorist groups, releasing hostages, deactivating bombs, and even rescuing the US President when terrorists hijack Air Force One! Using the Wii Remote, players will utilize revolutionary selectable weapons including a high powered rifle, sub machine and shot gun, or even engage in hand-to-hand combat.
Ghost Squad Although you don't need to purchase the Wii Zapper to enjoy Sega's light gun shooter, Ghost Squad, it and Nintendo's peripheral make a decent combo, considering you can snag both for roughly $50. Just don't expect depth from this terrorist blast-a-thon. Although Sega's arcade port contains extras, you'll play it for a few hours and then toss it onto the pile.

Sega's cult hit arcade lightgun shooter, Ghost Squad, is making the jump to the Wii in fall of 2007. Though it will be similar to the arcade original, look for a new four-player mode, experience levels, and new play modes.

Ghost Squad is designed to play nice with the new Wii Zapper, though there are a few issues which deserve mentioning. The Zapper seems to make turning off in-game crosshairs (which earns more points) an attractive option, but it comes with some major downsides. Chief among those is the game's calibration feature which asks players to stand at least 10 feet away. For many, playing at this distance from the Wii is simply not an option due to space restrictions. It is possible to calibrate the aiming from a shorter distance, but eye-level aiming with the Zapper (or even just the remote) becomes impossible. Unless you have a lot of space handy, playing with crosshairs turned on is often the best option.

Ghost Squad Ghost Squad was originally made in 2004 for Sega's Xbox-based Chihiro arcade board, and the heritage shows through in the Wii conversion. It's a fairly simple light-gun shooter, with a grand total of three (yes, three!) levels which you and up to three chums can proceed through, shooting roughly anyone that appears on the screen. You earn points for how quickly and how accurately you blast away the bad guys, and lost health when you're shot or when you accidentally kill one of the few people you're not meant to kill - usually a hostage or a Ghost Squad comrade. If you're looking for tactical depth or long-term appeal, this isn't really one for you. Ghost Recon Wii it most certainly is not.
Ghost Squad is an upcoming light gun video game by Sega for the Wii based on the 2005 light gun arcade game Ghost Squad. The game will utilize the Wii Remote's motion sensing controls and support online multiplayer via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
