Fremont fell 19 percent in New York trading after Ford, the former chief executive of Golden State Bancorp, told the company he was “not prepared to consummate” an $80 million investment under terms agreed to in May. The shares have lost two-thirds of their value since Ford announced his bailout plan, Bloomberg News reported.
