The Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC) Host/Spokesperson is a unique role and talent that brings excitement and energy to the daily televised drawings of the GLC. This is an exciting opportunity that combines both on-air talent and Special Events hosting skills. The GLC Host/Spokesperson is an official representative of the Georgia Lottery Corporation. This opportunity requires the individual selected to enter into separate contractual agreements with the Georgia Lottery Corporation and WSB-TV, which produces the Georgia Lottery broadcasts on behalf of GLC. Semi-finalist candidates will be required to pass an extensive background check. Host compensation is competitive with industry standards and is not negotiable.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 850,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.

The Georgia Lottery is run by the U.S. state of Georgia. Headquartered in Atlanta and run by the Georgia Lottery Corporation, the lottery takes in over US$1 billion yearly. Half the money goes to prizes, one-third to education, and the remainder to operating and marketing the lottery. The education money funds the HOPE Scholarship, and has become a successful model for other states, including the new South Carolina Education Lottery.
