George Wendt will appear with Richard Thomas in the national tour of the Roundabout Theater Company's production of Twelve Angry Men, scheduled to kick off on September 19 at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven. The 30-week tour will then play a host of different cities, including Washington D.C (at the Kennedy Center), Baltimore, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Miami, and Philadelphia.
George Robert Wendt is a native of Chicago and proud Cubbies fan. One of six children, he was raised in a well-to-do Chicago suburb and briefly attended the University of Notre Dame (where he was expelled for low grades). He transferred to and graduated from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri with a B.A. in Economics. After graduation, Wendt took off for Europe for a couple of years.

Wendt was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended Campion High School in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He was kicked out of University of Notre Dame after a lack of studying resulted in a semester with a 0.00 GPA. He was more successful at the Jesuit Rockhurst College in Kansas City where after applying himself, he graduated with a B.A. in economics.
