George W. Bush: United Nations
built 199 days ago
George W. Bush's powers of persuasion are so weak that of the 45 mostly small nations providing "support" to Bush's invasion of Iraq, only 3 sent troops to participate in the actual invasion. (Source: Ottawa Citizen March 26, 2003).
In the same way Bush rationalizes that his tax cuts for the rich were really to stimulate the economy, and to provide jobs and prosperity for the poor. In truth he cares nothing about the poor, and in fact the poor in America are poorer and more numerous since he came to power. Like Judas, Bush was put in charge of the government purse, and he has bankrupted the nation and enriched his wealthy cronies. He is a thief. Exactly like Judas, he uses staged photo-ops and a feigned concern for the poor - as he did in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina - as a cover for his continuing theft from the government purse.
To many in Britain, George W Bush is the evil-looking creature of Steve Bell [2]’s cartoons in the Guardian: a man with an animal snout and eyes too close together. To many in the United States, he is a Moses who has led his people out of Egyptian bondage to liberals and the licentious, and will save them from Islamic terrorism, gay marriage and stem-cell research.
Among the powerhouse nations listed in the big big "Coalition of the Willing" supporting George W. Bush: the Micronesian Island of Palau. It's a pretty place. Palau provided moral support. That's George W. Bush's diplomatic power for you. (Source: San Diego Union-Tribune March 21, 2003).
During the speech, Bush announced plans to reaffirm the United States' commitment to work with major economies and through the United Nations to complete an international agreement that will slow, stop, and eventually reverse the growth of greenhouse gases. He stated that; "this agreement will be effective only if it includes commitments by every major economy and gives none a free ride." [93]
Bush ... said he would propose a change in the way the United States offers food aid to Africa. Under Bush’s proposal. the U.S. would purchase crops directly from African farmers, rather than ship food directly from the U.S. That action would help African farmers become more self-sufficient, he said.
