Tickets for the 2005 George Strait Team Roping Classic, that will be held on March 11th and 12th of 2005 at the San Antonio Rose Palace are on sale now. The ticket price for 2005 remain the same at $16 each, inclusive of shipping and handling charges. Children six (6) and under will be admitted free. Tickets may be purchased beginning October 4th, 2004 in the following manner.

Rodeo tickets to see the George Strait Team Roping Classic have been a part of the rodeo tickets market for over two decades. The Classic typically features other auxiliary events and shows besides the titular team roping competition. A milestone year for the George Strait Team Roping Classic became even better with fresh faces setting new records. Header Nick Sartain of Yukon, Okla., and heeler Jhett Johnson of Casper, Wyo., won their first overall title, posting a short-go time of 5.21 seconds Saturday for a three-round aggregate of 16.84 in the 25th annual team roping classic.

As pastimes, Strait enjoys fishing, playing golf, and riding motorcycles. He and George Jr. are avid team ropers and Strait hosts the annual George Strait Team Roping Classic. He and Norma live in far northwest San Antonio in the wealthy gated community The Dominion as well on a ranch near Cotulla, Texas some 50 miles southeast of San Antonio. Sadly, his daughter Jenifer was killed in an automobile accident in 1986, at the age of thirteen.
