built 647 days ago
This Top10 Sources page is all about country singer George Strait, one of the most respected and popular honky tonk country western singers singing today, who has sold over 65 million record albums in his career. In 2006, he was elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame, a rare honor for someone still recording and experiencing number one hits. And the hits just keep on coming - he is up to 54 number one hits with his recent "It Just Comes Natural."

Christmas came early for George Strait. The newest member of the Nashville-based Country Music Hall of Fame recently won accolades for setting a new record for number one singles in country music, as his total of 53 put him ahead of Conway Twitty, who held that mark for 20 years. It was Strait’s “Give It Away” that gave it to him.

A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Strait has been nominated for more CMA awards than any other artist. He holds the record for most Number 1 songs on Billboard Country Music charts, and has had more albums certified gold or platinum in the United States than any other country artist and only Elvis Presley and The Beatles have more overall.
