How would Brown be useful to Soros as President of the World Bank? Soros is an international investor. He knows no borders and he has heavily invested in the developing world. David Horowitz wrote in "The Shadow Party" that Soros' investments in ostensible human rights organizations and political activist groups often have an investment rationale behind them.

In other unsavory connections, a Soros grant was given to Linda Evans, who was pardoned by Bill Clinton for her involvement in the Weather Underground terrorist group. The Weather Underground was involved in the 1981 Brinks robbery, in which three murders were committed, and a series of bombings, including the bombing of the U.S. Capitol in November 1983.

On March 17, 2006 Paramount agreed to sell the DreamWorks live-action library to a group led by George Soros for $900 million. Paramount retained the worldwide distribution rights to these films, as well as various auxiliary rights, including music publishing, sequels, and merchandising -- this includes films that had been made by Paramount and DreamWorks. The sale was completed on May 8, 2006.
