George Carlin is a class act. He knew how to get to his audience's funny bone. In fact, he has often mentioned in his interviews that "his purpose of existence is to entertain people." However, Carlin has often evoked strong reactions from many sections of society for his not-so-kind statements. If George Carlin is your kind of funny man, then you will enjoy the George Carlin quotes here.
George Carlin is an acclaimed stand-up comic, actor and an author. He was most famous for his role in the Supreme Court's 1978 case F.C.C vs Pacifica Foundation. Carlin's "Seven Dirty Words" routine was ultimately deemed "indecent" but not "obscene", thereby determining broadcast standards since. Carlin grew up in New York City and dropped out of high school in the ninth grade.

George Carlin Tickets If you were to list them, George Carlin's name would appear early in any compilation of legends of comedy. Tickets to Carlin's latest performance are available for venues across the country, and the show follows the tradition of Carlin's thought provoking, irreverent look at society in general. Given the controversy he has created by way of his outspoken, anything-goes routine, there are some who would refuse to use George Carlin tickets. However, over the past half century, Carlin has built a loyal following of fans in every pocket of the country. Carlin got his start on radio at the age of 18, and over time his act morphed into a tone that offended many, which led to his arrest in Milwaukee for violating Wisconsin obscenity laws. If you're going to use comedy tickets to a Carlin show, you will hear nothing but utter bluntness from Carlin and his perspective on the world.

Burns and Carlin stayed together for two years, eventually making a first appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Jack Paar. During this period, George met Brenda Hosbrook, whom he married in 1961.

George Carlin Photo When George Carlin was just two months old, his mother escaped her abusive husband by climbing out a window and down a fire escape with George in her arms and holding his five-year-old brother by the hand. The three took refuge on a farm in the Catskills for four years. George's parents legally separated in December 1937 and in 1941, George, his brother and mother moved back to New York City.
