REYKJAVIK, Iceland, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- deCODE genetics (Nasdaq: DCGN) today announced positive topline results from its Phase IIa clinical trial for DG051, the company's leukotriene A4 hydrolase inhibitor being developed for the prevention of heart attack. With these results, the company has finalized the design of a Phase IIb trial for which it expects to begin enrolling patients this spring. The company will discuss the development of DG051 and the rest of its product portfolio in its presentation at the JP Morgan 26th Annual Healthcare Conference. PRINCETON, N.J., June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Medarex's partner, Genmab A/S, announced today that Genmab and Medarex have formed a major alliance with deCODE genetics. Under the alliance, the companies intend to generate fully human antibodies to multiple disease targets derived from deCODE's genetic research. Genmab, Medarex and deCODE plan to investigate a range of potential therapeutics, including those for inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases as well as cancer. Given the scope of this multi-target alliance, Medarex will contribute resources to the collaboration and will share certain costs and commercial rights. Medarex has licensed its human antibody technology to Genmab and has an agreement in which it may participate with Genmab in multi-target European genomics relationships.
