Garth Brooks previously announced one-off show in Los Angeles quickly became a five-show run on Saturday (12/1) as pent-up demand for the officially "retired" artist burned through available tickets in record time. According to an announcement at the Staples Center website, venue officials noted that Brooks sold over 85,000 tickets in just 59 minutes, setting a venue sales record as the first artist to sell out five shows in one day.
