The University of Nevada Las Vegas – International Gaming Institute provides regulatory seminars to individuals involved in the regulation of gaming. Classes are taught by Gaming Control Board agents on auditing procedures, licensing and background investigations, financial concepts for non-accountants, arbitration, law enforcement and criminal activities. The Gaming Control Board received 13 applications for manufacturer licenses for the first phase of applications. The Board will address the remaining seven companies from the first phase of applications at a later date.

The Board voted unanimously yesterday to grant Aristocrat Technologies one of the first six licenses to be a manufacturer of slot machines and associated equipment for the state's new gaming program. The Gaming Control Board received an additional seven applications for the first phase and will address those at a later date.
