Gamefaqs: Video Games
built 154 days ago
GameFAQs is a website that hosts FAQs and walkthroughs for video games. It was created in November 1995 by Jeff "CJayC" Veasey and has been owned by CNET Networks since May 2003. The site has a large database of video game information and has been called a place where readers "can get almost any information" regarding game strategies.[1] The systems covered range from the 8-bit Atari platform to the consoles of today, including computer games. The FAQs, cheat codes, reviews, game saves, and credits are submitted by volunteer gamers, and contributions are reviewed by the site's two editors, Jeff Veasey and Allen Tyner (known online as SBAllen).
[W]hile the FAQs is considered to be the heart and soul of GameFAQs, what truly makes it an exciting place are the message boards. Like all message boards, it has its share of fools, but truth is that a great deal of the board consist of intelligent posters too. Hanging around the message boards of GameFAQs is a virtually guarantee that you'll learn everything you need to know about video games.
GameFAQs is the best gamesite ever? Maybe for walkthroughs but if you venture anywhere else on the site it's filled with retarded 10 year old geeks flaming each other for liking a game that the other didn't. And when they aren't flaming each other they are starting threads organizing a cyber circle jerk to some female video game character.

The best part of GameFAQs (not to mention its namesake and what makes it popular) is the video game FAQs. Containing thousands of guides on various aspects for various games, GameFAQs is basically a heaven for almost anything related to video games.
