Game Crazy conducted its parent survey through Zoomerang, a national survey company. Survey results were compiled from 635 parents of children between the ages of 8 and 14 who purchase video games for children and have a gaming system in their homes. It focused on their knowledge of games and game content, plus their game selection process in store, both with and without their children.

Manifesto Games launched as a statement of belief in the creative efforts of the independent game community. It has been a slow exploration, but things are beginning to speed up. One change is that Play This Thing! has become a separate site. Even with idealistic commerce, users expressed that critical content should be separate. Other more substantive changes will be occurring shortly.

LAS VEGAS, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Winners were announced tonight for Spike TV's 5th annual "Video Game Awards," the preeminent celebration of achievement in the gaming world. Talent from across the entertainment world gathered at the Mandalay Bay Events Resort and Casino in Las Vegas to honor the year's accomplishments within the video game community. Hosted by Samuel L. Jackson, the 2007 "Video Game Awards" will premiere on Spike TV Sunday, December 9 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).

Game Commissioners are nominated by the Governor and confirmed by the state Senate to serve an eight-year term. They receive no salary, but are reimbursed for expenses to attend Game Commission quarterly meetings and other functions.
