Gabrielle Monique Union (born October 29, 1972) is an American actress and former model. Among her notable roles is as the cheerleader opposite Kirsten Dunst's in the film Bring it On. Union ... starred opposite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in the blockbuster film Bad Boys II and played a medical doctor in the CBS drama series City of Angels. She also starred with L.L. Cool J and Meagan Good in "Deliver Us from Eva" in 2003.
In 2003, Union joined rap icon LL Cool J for the comedy feature "Deliver Us From Eva" (2003). Union, as the title character Eva, plays an up-tight young woman who finds joy in meddling in her younger sisters' love life. Also that year, Union was cleverly cast in the sequel "Bad Boys II" (2003) opposite Martin Lawrence and Will Smith as Lawerence's lovely sister. Union's character is not only in danger at the crux of the plot, she ... has an opportunity to get romantically entangled with Smith and comedically opposed to Lawrence, developments that served to introduce the actress' distinctive charms to an even wider audience in her first "blockbuster" starring role. After starring opposite Jaime Foxx in the romantic comedy “Breakin’ All the Rules” (2004), she played Alice Kramden to Cedric the Entertainer’s Ralph Kramden in the rehash of the famed 1950’s sitcom, “The Honeymooners” (2005). Though promising a fresh take on an oldie-but-goodie, the film was blasted by critics who cited a lack of chemistry between characters, a subservient bow to political correctness—particularly with Kramden’s famous threat to send Alice to the moon—and a dearth of laughs despite overwhelming comedic talent.

GABRIELLE UNION has a new hip-hop honey in the shape of birthday boy LUDACRIS. The rapper, who recently turned 30, and the Bad Boys II star have been dating for the last two months, according to friends. The new romance is Union’s first serious fling since she split from husband Chris Howard in 2005. Union, 34, was the rapper’s special guest at his recent birthday party, which he held at Cafe Martorano at the Rio hotel in Las Vegas on 7 September (07). A source who attended the exclusive party tells In Touch Weekly magazine, “They were openly affectionate.” [SOURCE: CONTACT MUSIC]
[I]n 2003, Union appeared in Cradle 2 the Grave, an action movie starring martial arts star Jet Li, rapper DMX, and comedian Anthony Anderson. She ... scored a significant role in Bad Boys II, one of the biggest hits of the summer of 2003, in which Union played the role of Syd, the half-sister of Martin Lawrence's character and the love interest for Will Smith's character. Union returned to the romantic comedy genre in 2004 with a starring role in Breakin'All the Rules. Also featuring Jamie Foxx and Morris Chestnut, Rules is a mistaken-identity romp that examines the absurd behavior of those desperate to maintain or get out of a relationship. Joe Leydon listed Union's charms in a Daily Variety review of Rules, writing that "Union once again evidences (as in Deliver Us from Eva) impressive range and star presence as she comes off smart and sexy, feisty and vulnerable."
Since then, Gabrielle has made the transition to summer blockbusters, co-starring opposite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys II and opposite Cedric the Entertainer in The Honeymooners. Earlier this year, she handled the lead role in Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls opposite Idris Elba. And now she’s appearing in a film for the fourth time with Morris Chestnut in The Perfect Holiday.
