The location of Friendship within the setting of Salem Maritime National Historic Site and the historic wharves of Salem provides a unique opportunity for a variety of corporate and social functions to be held in an unusual and creative way. Your evening event on board Friendship, combined with several approved catering firms and the addition of musicians playing on deck, will easily transform into a unique, one of a kind venue. All events will be held dockside on board Friendship and the adjacent wharf. Guests will have access to all public areas of the ship.

Founded in 1989 by Anthony K. Shriver, Best Buddies is a nonprofit that provides opportunities for one-to-one friendship and integrated employment to participants in more than 1,300 chapters in 32 countries. Audi and Best Buddies proudly announced their new partnership in June of 2007. For the next five years, Audi will be the exclusive automotive sponsor of Best Buddies within the Americas and support numerous projects and fundraising events in Europe and overseas.

Buchholz recently organized “Holiday at the Village”, a December open house welcoming more than 100 family and community members in for food, friendship, and caroling. Plans for a “Spring Fling” event are already in the works. Also new: visits and shared activities between McGregor DAC adult day care clients and Northland Village residents.

All after hours uses of Friendship require at least two NPS staff to be on site. Depending on numbers of guests and whether alcohol is being served this number may increase and ... may increase the fee. Ship set up and reset of exhibits, etc., also requires staff time. Fees listed include the cost of two staff members.

Friendship is a value based organization, established in Bangladesh by Yves Marre and Runa Khan Marre in 1998, to identify and reach the poorest of the poor and the most marginalized communities. With an aim to provide essential basic services in the most inaccessible and hard to reach areas Friendship works in the chars and riverbank areas of northern Bangladesh.
